This is the first of the three harvest festivals in the Wheel of the Year. It is also known as Lughnasadh and is celebrated at the beginning of August. The Goddess of Lammas moves through the ripening crops, scattering the seeds for next year’s produce. In the distance can be seen the antlered figure of Herne the Hunter.
