Thor is the son of Odin in Norse mythology. His hammer is legendary and has been given names, including Mollnir.
Although made from resin, this piece has a solidity to it. The head of the hammer is decorated with strong Viking symbols and this, along with the bands on the handle are an antique gold in colour. The handle has the appearance of wood and the base is a cluster of black rock. A finely detailed raven perches on the handle, which is at an angle to the ground.
As mentioned, the figurine has been finely cast in resin before being hand-painted.
The height to the top of the raven is 22.5cm.
