Spirits of Salem Figurine

Lisa Parker‘s artwork ‘Spirits of Salem’ has been transformed into a figurine by Nemesis Now.

This figure has a black cat (perhaps a Witch’s familiar) sitting upon an aged skull.  The title came about because it is a tribute to the strength of those who died in the Salem Witch Trials in 1692-3.  The skull is engraved with a map of the area and beneath it is the “Salem Gazette” with the report of the trials.  To make it easier to read, there is a magnifying glass and a couple of candles.

Because this is a three-dimensional figurine, we can now see the scene from all angles.  It has been cast in resin before being expertly hand-painted.  The detail is so incredible that you can see the words on the newspaper.

It is 16cm high and has a base measuring 11cm x 6.5cm.  There is a layer of protective black felt underneath.
